Increased Bearing Lifetime

The integration of the bearing into the threaded ring allows the bearing distance to be maximized. The increased distance further supports the axis, which results in less deflection of the axle and thus protects the bearings and increases their lifetime.

Faster Full Engagement and less wear

The previous system required two conical springs to ensure proper alignment of the two ratchets. The fixed connection of the inner ratchet of the RATCHET EXP with the hub shell allows to use only one cylindrical spring, to ensure proper alignment of the moving ratchet. This results in faster full engagement and eventually reduces wear

Incorporated Notch

Featuring an incorporated notch, the newly developed shape of the endcaps simplifies disassembly significantly and therefore makes the maintenance even easier.

Rim Specifications

Fun Works Universe 2435 with THG System.Excellent stiffness and aerodynamic efficiency.

Ideal for large-volume gravel tires.

The new Universe 2435 is the big brother of the Universe 2428 and features a 7mm higher rim profile for an aerodynamically optimized design. The 24mm inner width accommodates large-volume tires, while its high stiffness and aerodynamic efficiency provide excellent comfort, enabling off-road driving and offering exceptional durability. The hookless rim design provides increased impact resistance due to its thicker sidewalls. Additionally, the inner side of the rim flanges is equipped with the THG (Tire Hold Grooves) system, which ensures optimal seating and grip of the tire in the rim edge. The rim is made of high-strength New Era Alloy, which keeps it extremely stiff despite its astonishingly low weight. Its tubeless-ready design allows for an easy tubeless setup. This rim is only suitable for tubeless-ready tires and can be used with tire widths from 30 mm to 65 mm, with a maximum air pressure of 5 Bar.
