Hub Specifications
 
Reinforced Hub Shell
The hub shell was first forged and then CNC-machined for increased stiffness and durability.
The hub flanges have been reinforced and angled inward to match the spoke angle. With a double-cross lacing pattern, the outer spokes sit on the flange and are bent less sharply than with straight flanges. This significantly reduces spoke "settling" and decreases stress on the flange.
 
Extended Bearing Life
The Turbo hubs feature an increased bearing spacing and improved stiffness.
The wider bearing spacing stabilizes the axle, reduces its flex,
and protects the bearings, thereby extending their lifespan.
 
Highest Reliability
The CSPS (Coil Spring Pawl System) offers outstanding reliability.
In the freehub, six robust, oversized pawls with a diameter of 5 mm are pressed outward by coil springs to ensure optimal engagement pressure on the ratchet ring.The reinforced ratchet ring is designed to withstand high pressure and provide a long service life.
 
Faster Pawl Engagement and Reduced Wear
The freehub with six staggered pawls ensures that three pawls are always engaged simultaneously.
This results in a total of 96 engagement points, providing optimal power transfer and speed during riding.
The resulting minimal engagement angle of only 3.75 degrees strikes the perfect balance between responsiveness and low friction, enabling turbo-fast acceleration.
 
Built-in Notch in End Caps
The newly designed end caps feature an integrated notch that significantly simplifies disassembly and hub maintenance.
 
Easy Compatibility with Various Axle and Freehub Systems
As usual, the end caps and freehub can be swapped without special tools by simply pulling them off, ensuring high compatibility with different axle and freehub standards.

Fun Works Atmosphere 26 SL with AsymSmart Technology!
 
AsymSmart combines the advantages of a symmetrical rim profile with those of an asymmetrical one.
Conventional asymmetrical rim profiles offer the benefit of building a wheel with nearly equal spoke tension on the drive and non-drive sides, resulting in a more robust overall wheel. The downside is that the rim bed has two sides of different lengths, with the longer side usually being much more vulnerable to impacts on the rim profile. In contrast, the AsymSmart profile features a rim bed with equally long sides like a symmetrical rim, with only the spoke holes offset. This means the rim has the same impact resistance as a normal symmetrical rim but still offers the advantage of allowing more even spoke tension, enabling the construction of stiffer and more durable wheels.The Atmosphere 26 SL also impresses with its low weight and wide rim profile, delivering lightning-fast acceleration and perfect grip in every riding situation. The Tubeless Ready design allows for easy tubeless setup and ensures a perfect tire fit. The wheelset is built with DT Swiss Comp Race quality spokes contributing to excellent durability and top-notch weight.
