The new Universe 2428, the successor to the Universe 22, has been technically adapted to the modern inner widths of gravel bikes and now offers a width of 24 mm. This makes it the optimal choice if you are looking for a lightweight, robust, and stiff aluminum rim for your gravel adventures. The hookless rim design provides increased impact resistance due to its thicker sidewalls. Additionally, the inner side of the rim flanges is equipped with the THG (Tire Hold Grooves) system, which ensures optimal seating and grip of the tire in the rim edge. The rim is made of high-strength New Era Alloy, which keeps it extremely stiff despite its astonishingly low weight. Its tubeless-ready design allows for an easy tubeless setup. This rim is only suitable for tubeless-ready tires and can be used with tire widths from 30 mm to 65 mm, with a maximum air pressure of 5 Bar.
