The Sapim Polyax aluminum nipples feature a rounded head that functions like a ball joint. This ensures optimal alignment of spokes and nipples. The 7075-T6 aluminum guarantees high performance due to its light weight, exceptional strength, and corrosion resistance.
Additionally, the Polyax nipples receive a special coating on the threads and surface that significantly reduces friction both between the spoke and nipple and between the rim and nipple. This results in an easier and cleaner wheel build as well as smoother and more effective truing.
The Doublesquare nipple shape allows spokes to be tensioned from the inside. This is a major advantage over conventional spoke nipples - the visible surface of the nipple heads remains undamaged.
