Unlike conventional halogen bulbs, LEDs are also very effective at partial load, which means they perform well even below their rated power. As a result, it is no longer necessary to design the dynamo to deliver its full power at low speeds.The Son Delux is therefore smaller and lighter than a hub dynamo for halogen lighting, such as the SON 28.
Nevertheless, the Son Delux matches the SON 28 in terms of durability and high-quality craftsmanship.
However, the idle power consumption is 30 to 35% lower than that of the SON 28.
